Savills Investment Management, the international real estate investment manager, has announced the arrival of a new UK business development team, with Jeremy Wells appointed as UK Director of Business Development, and Katie Joyce as UK Business Development. They will support the Charities Property Fund (‘CPF’) and the firm’s wider UK business. They will report to Harry de Ferry Foster, CPF Fund Director and Co-Head of Savills IM’s UK business.
Prior to joining Savills IM, Jeremy held several senior charity client-facing roles in the fund management industry, most recently as the Senior Client Director for Charities at Newton Investment Management. He has 20 years’ experience in the sector. Katie joins from Mayfair Capital, where she spent the last five years working on their charity fund.
Launched in 2000, CPF was the first Common Investment Fund to invest directly in UK commercial property to be available to all UK charities. With a portfolio of more than 100 properties, the fund has £1.3 billion in assets under management and has completed over £400m of transactions since 2015. It has been designed to meet the needs of charities, giving them access to professional property investment and management without the time and expense of property administration. As at the end of June 2019, the fund registered its 12th consecutive year of outperforming its benchmark.
Harry de Ferry Foster, Co-Head for the UK, Savills Investment Management and CPF Fund Director, commented: “We are delighted to reinforce our commitment to the charity sector with this significant investment in the client-facing team for the Charities Property Fund. Jeremy and Katie bring a wealth of client experience to the team and demonstrate our commitment to remaining the preferred choice of property investment partner for UK charities.”
