Sorbon Estates, the commercial arm of Buckinghamshire-based Shanly Group, has secured a letting on the whole of a 6,363 sq ft self-contained office building in Gerrards Cross known as Shire House.
Reference Point, a UK-based technology company, has taken a 10-year lease on the newly refurbished premises.
Reference Point delivers dedicated software for a range of businesses, including Network Rail, London Underground and Thames Water, and specialises in mobile workforce management, online training booking, virtual and physical smartcard management, and custom solutions. The move to Shire House will see Reference Point unify its operations under one roof, as well as provide the space to accommodate its future growth plans.
Shire House is conveniently located in Gerrards Cross, a commuter town that is approximately 25 minutes to London Marylebone by rail, with good access to the M40 and M25. Tenants benefit from close proximity to local amenities, including a range of shops, hotel, banking facilities and restaurants.
Tamra Booth, Managing Director at Sorbon Estates, said: “Reference Point is a really interesting homegrown technology business with a good covenant. To have secured a 10-year lease with them prior to the practical completion of the refurbishment work at Shire House is a strong endorsement of Sorbon’s ability to undertake targeted and proactive asset management, as well as the occupational demand for refurbished, well-presented office space in London’s commuter belt.”
Beric Davis, MD of Reference Point, said: “We have experienced tremendous growth in recent years, expanding our client base to national companies such as Highways England and The Construction Skills Certification Scheme. We have ambitious growth plans for the business and having recently secured major contracts in Australia, we anticipate further international expansion in due course. This move not only represents a significant upgrade to our office accommodation, but it also allows us to bring all of our operations under a single roof and will accommodate our future growth plans. The quality of the accommodation, as well as its proximity to amenities and transport links will be vital in retaining and attracting the very best talent.”
