Motor repairs and servicing specialists are gearing-up for growth after driving their business into larger premises.
Toyotek Ltd’s directors Matt Benson and Grant Watkins are ready to push the pace after relocating their Lincoln company and investing over £50,000 in revamping their new premises and installing extra equipment.
News comes after Lincoln-based Chartered Surveyor Banks Long & Co leased the company a 12,273 sq ft building, complete with a secure yard, in George Street, off Great Northern Terrace.
Matt and Grant, who have taken on two more people, now employ a team of six. They are now poised for further success and are hosting an open morning with a barbecue, on August 24, between 9am and noon, to showcase their new site and spread the word about their enhanced services.
Director Matt Benson said: “We started out six-and-a-half years ago as the only independent Toyota and Lexus servicing and repairs centre in the Lincoln area, and we have been successful in building our customer base and reputation.
“We outgrew our Witham Point premises on the city’s Allenby Industrial Estate and we had been looking for an alternative, accessible site for some time, before snapping-up the chance to move to George Street, which is nearer the city centre.
“We now have more space, better facilities and plenty of on-site parking for customers’ vehicles and cars for sale. This site is ideal for our future plans.
“Thanks to relocating, we are now able to offer on-site MoT testing, which we know will be appreciated by customers old and new.
“We also intend to increase the volume of our used cars for sale. We are particularly keen to start focusing on electric vehicles and hybrid cars, including other marques, in addition to Toyota.”
These will be offered through a sister business, www.ev-hybrid.co.uk – from August 5.
Banks Long & Co Director William Wall said: “We are delighted to have let these George Street premises to Toyotek, on behalf of our client Lincoln Polythene Managing Director Ashley Hobson.
“The property is situated in an area that has started to benefit from the completion of Lincoln’s new East-West Link Road. Toyotek now has a workshop, sub-divided to provide a main workshop and parts store, a reception area and staff facilities. It sits within a gated and fenced yard. We wish Matt and Grant the best with their plans for the future.”
