Leading property consultant CBRE has announced the appointment of Craig Semple as Associate Director in its Industrial and Logistics team based in Glasgow. He will take up his new post at the end of September.
Craig joins after a seven year stint with Avison Young where he recently assisted in the largest pre-let in Scotland in the last five years – acquiring a bespoke 120,700 sq ft warehouse at Westway Park on behalf of JW Filshill.
His move to CBRE will reignite a working relationship with CBRE’s David Reid, who leads the Industrial & Logistics team in Scotland. The duo previously worked together and have in excess of 20 years’ combined experience.
Craig Semple commented: “Working within a dedicated and growing industrial team as part of the largest real estate advisory firm in the world has huge appeal for me and I look forward to taking up the reins at CBRE later in the year.”
Stewart Taylor of CBRE, said: “We see significant potential, and are witnessing huge interest, in Scotland’s industrial sector. Key hires such as Craig lend weight to our presence and offering in the market, strengthening our national Industrial and Logistics team across Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen and enabling more time to be spent with our clients in Scotland.
David Reid of CBRE, said: “I’m excited to have Craig joining the team. Craig comes with a strong track record of delivering results for clients and will be an excellent addition to our team.”
Alison Taylor, Avison Young Principal, Glasgow, said: “Avison Young provides a leading specialist industrial offering, and whilst we are disappointed to see Craig leave the team, we will continue to achieve growth and results and build upon our 140 year industrial heritage in Glasgow. Our clients expect expert levels of advice and service from Avison Young, and this is what our team will always deliver.”
