A magazine publisher is expanding its West Midlands operations after securing two warehouse units. National commercial property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has completed a deal with the unnamed company, which has agreed a five-year lease on two adjoining business units at Target Park, Shawbank Road, in Redditch. The units provide 15,812 sq ft of space, including 1,742 sq ft of offices.
Last year, LSH completed the sale of the two units to Scolmore Group, a family-run company whose headquarters are in Tamworth, Staffordshire. LSH was retained to find tenants for the units following a programme of refurbishment. The tenant’s agent was Calum Stewart of Grove Property.
Matt Tilt, director of industrial and logistics agency at LSH in Birmingham, said: “The publishing company was looking for good quality accommodation not too far from its existing base in Redditch. There is enormous demand for warehouse and industrial units right across the region, with a limited supply, so it was never going to be an easy task.
“Fortunately, the two units at Target Park fitted the bill perfectly as they offer high quality accommodation in an excellent location, being just one mile from Redditch town centre, 14 miles from Birmingham, and with good access to the M42 and the national motorway network.”
