The Red Dragon Centre has appointed a new General Manager to take over the strategic management of the entertainment centre, as well as the day-to-day running of the entertainment complex.
Clare Jenkins joins The Red Dragon Centre with over 30 years of experience in retail operations roles, including a decade spent in commercial property management.
Officially opened in 1997, The Red Dragon Centre welcomes 2.5 million visitors a year and during May half term, thanks in part to its hosting of rehearsals for the 2019 Urdd Eisteddfod, recorded its busiest week for 10 years, with 96,766 visitors passing through its doors.
Within her new role, Clare will be responsible for the maintenance of the estate, including reviewing security and cleaning operations; liaising with tenants and car park management.
Clare said: “I have seen and experienced a lot in my time in retail operations and plan to use this experience to ensure that every visitor to The Red Dragon Centre has the safest and most pleasurable stay possible with us.
“I hope to ensure that this iconic Cardiff venue continues to exude the fun and vibrancy that it is renowned for, while creating a beautifully presented and fresh-faced Red Dragon Centre which can be enjoyed by all that visit and from which our tenant brands can thrive.”
Hollywood Bowl and Odeon Cinema are the longest standing tenants of the Centre, which now boasts 13 diverse venues offering customers an exciting mix of food, entertainment and leisure.
