A new kitchen showroom is being launched in Lincoln after national property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) found the right recipe for success.
Katie Brown Kitchens has agreed a seven-year lease on a 6,400 sq ft unit at the Pelham Centre, Canwick Road. The substantial retail premises is in a prominent location near to Lincoln’s new transport hub.
LSH was appointed by landlord Howtin Investments to find an occupier for the unit following the departure of The Mattress Man.
Jamie Krantz, of Katie Brown Kitchens, said: “We already have a very well known and established brand in Krantz Designs, which is a design-led company that handcrafts beautiful bespoke kitchens and furniture, but we could see a gap in the market for affordable kitchens with a design eye.
“Myself and Chris Wilburn could see that the demand was there and Lincoln was the obvious choice for us both. It’s a vibrant city with so much going on. The Pelham Centre is perfect for us, with plenty of free on-site parking, and easy access from both the town and the ring road.”
Ben Silcock, surveyor at LSH in Lincoln, said: “Katie Brown Kitchens is a sister company of Krantz Designs, in the Bailgate in Lincoln, which is a very well-known and long established regional kitchen business.
“The company had considered other locations but opted for Lincoln for their new venture. Their attractive showroom will be a very welcome addition to the mix of tenants at the Pelham Centre, which includes Portland Tools, Croft Carpets, Elixir Bathrooms, Party Planet, Machine Mart and ZR Tyres.”
He added: “The Pelham Centre is ideal for the business because it is on a busy road and there is plenty of customer parking. The city centre and train station are also within easy walking distance.”
