One of Scotland’s biggest independent timber merchants has committed its future to a new state of the art trade and distribution centre in Clydebank.
MGM Timber has leased 21,000 sq ft across two industrial units at Bleasedale Court in Clydebank which will be used to store and distribute timber products across Scotland.
The long established family run business has 12 customer branches across Scotland which will be serviced by the new storage units. The firm chose to move to more modern units at centrally located Bleasedale Court after its lease ran up elsewhere in Clydebank.
JLL acted for the site’s owner to secure the deals for both units which have been recently refurbished. The site includes office accommodation and a communal yard area.
Bleasedale Court provides nine, modern, steel portal framed industrial units of various sizes formed in a terrace with car parking to the front and separate loading yards to the rear. The site is equipped with excellent transport links with Scotland’s road network including the M8, M80, M77 and M74.
Other occupiers at the site include Energystore Ltd and Booker Ltd.
Michael Brown, of JLL in Glasgow, said: “This is a great move for MGM Timber who have settled upon two high grade industrial units at Bleasedale Court. Both units and the adjoining space have been refurbished impeccably, and with only 6 units left on site, we expect there to be sustained interest from other occupiers looking to capitalise on this strategically located site to the north west of Glasgow.”
David Mansell, Managing Director at MGM Timber, said: “We’re delighted to have moved our distribution operation to newly refurbished modern units at Bleasdale Court. Our new space will act as a base to distribute products to our trade and consumer facing outlets across Scotland and continue to provide unrivalled service to all of our customers, large or small.
