Centrick Property has appointed Matthew Reilly to oversee its new residential sales operation in Solihull.
The firm is adding home sales to its already established Solihull lettings and estate management business, based at its branch on Knowle High Street.
Matthew joins Centrick from north London estate agents Ellis & Co, where he was principal. He has more than 20 years’ experience in residential property sales and management, both in London and the Midlands.
Centrick already handles residential sales from its central Birmingham head office. In the three years since it opened its Birmingham branch, the firm has built a strong track record in estate agency as well becoming one of the leading letting agents for landlords and tenants in the city centre. As a result, throughout this year, Centrick has regularly boasted first or second slot on leading property portal Rightmove, based on the number of new sales instructions.
The firm has expanded its offer in Solihull in response to demand from local vendors and requests from its existing landlord clients for a sales service of the same quality as its existing lettings offering.
Matthew Reilly said: “The Solihull area is highly sought-after, with prices here having largely held their own, even in this challenging economic climate. High-end properties in the £1m plus bracket are selling particularly well, despite their big ticket, along with family homes.
“Our aim is to shake-up residential sales in the area: a handful of established estate agencies have had the market to themselves for too long. In tough times, vendors need candid advice and regular feedback, and that is what we will provide.”
In addition to its busy shop front on Knowle High Street, Centrick will also market Solihull properties through its Commercial Street offices, next to Birmingham’s landmark Mailbox complex.
To mark the Solihull launch and to show that it means business, Centrick is undertaking to halve its fees if the firm fails to sell a home within eight weeks of instruction.
