Cardiff-based Yolk Recruitment has appointed a new Business Development Manager to further develop its footprint in public sector.
Gareth Jones, 44, joins the award-winning business as part of Yolk’s ambitious growth strategy, with the firm on course to solidify its position as Wales’ market-leading recruitment agency by 2020.
Gareth, who has over 18 years of experience in the recruitment industry, will be responsible for developing new relationships with organisations in the public sector, as well as with charities and not-for-profits.
The appointment comes after Yolk were named the only official Welsh supplier of recruitment services through the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) permanent recruitment framework.
The Crown Commercial Service (CCS) supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services.
The framework agreement between CCS and Yolk Recruitment covers the UK-wide supply of permanent recruitment services to UK public sector bodies including central government departments and their arm’s length bodies and agencies, non-departmental public bodies and wider public sector organisations. The two-year agreement involves recruitment for permanent appointments, fixed term appointments and inward secondments, both for individual candidates and volume campaigns.
Swansea-born Gareth will be responsible for strengthening Yolk’s current relationships with public sector clients as well as introducing the firm’s holistic offering and discounted rates to public sector organisations across the UK.
Commenting on his appointment, Gareth said:
“Yolk is a well-respected brand in the marketplace and has a compelling offer for public sector organisations seeking to make cost savings while ensuring the highest quality candidates.
“At a time of shrinking budgets and increased pressure on services, it’s more important than ever that public sector organisations attract and retain the best people. By accessing our services through the CCS framework, clients can avoid a lengthy and costly tender process and make significant cost savings thanks to the highly competitive rates Yolk offers to the Civil Service.
“I am excited to join such an ambitious team and look forward to working with CCS and its contracting authorities across the UK to achieve savings for the taxpayer through a smarter approach to recruitment”.
Yolk Recruitment was founded in 2009 by Dale Williams and Duncan Powell and employs a rapidly growing team of 50 people across a wide range of sectors including legal, clerical, marketing, finance and technology. The firm’s state-of-the art head office is located at Anchor Court, Cardiff.
Client Services Director at Yolk Recruitment, Nici Jones, said: “We are delighted to welcome Gareth to the team. He brings a wealth of experience at a senior level in the recruitment industry and joins us at a very important time. This new role will be central to our growth strategy, as we seek to achieve our goal of reshaping recruitment in the public sector.”
