Acting on behalf of Castlefield Estates, Avison Young has secured a letting to Potter Rees Dolan which has seen the personal injury solicitors lease 3,321 sq ft at 2 Commercial Street in Castlefield Manchester. This latest deal means the building is now fully let. Potter Rees Dolan is based at nearby 12 Commercial Street and has taken additional space to facilitate the expansion of the business.
The legal firm has taken the remaining suite on the 3rd floor for a term of 4 years at a rent of £19.50 psf which follows the letting of 1,076 sq ft suite on the first floor to DEP Landscape Architects late last year.
The newly built 2 Commercial Street offers a combination of modern, design-led architecture in an area packed with character and industrial heritage. Castlefield Estates has been at the forefront of the urban development and regeneration of Castlefield’s industrial heritage for over 25 years. Alongside 2 Commercial Street its portfolio includes Bass Warehouse, East Gate and Merchants Warehouse.
Commenting on the lettings graduate surveyor Scott Meakin from Avison Young said: “These lettings are representative of the continued demand for high quality office space in the City Centre and especially in the Castlefield area. It is a key element of Manchester’s southern gateway with easy access to the tram, rail and motorway network and has long been a popular location for creative and knowledge-based businesses.
“2 Commercial Street has been a really popular location for businesses, and we are pleased to announce that it is now fully let. Castlefield continues to go from strength-to-strength with a diverse mix of occupiers across our portfolio.”
Joint letting agent is Edwards & Co.
