The UK’s leading fit out and refurbishment specialist, Overbury, is moving their Glasgow office to 180 St Vincent Street, where they have taken a 1,898 sq ft suite on the first floor of the building with a 10-year lease at a rental of £23.50 per sq ft per annum.
Mark Evans, Northwood Regional UK Director, commented on the deal:
“We are delighted to have attracted a tenant of such high quality as Overbury. We very much look forward to welcoming them in the building.”
Speaking about the selection of 180 St Vincent Street, Dan Clarke, head of Scotland at Overbury, said:
“We chose this space as it gives us an opportunity to put our own stamp on the suite, and really showcase our skills within our own office. It’s also centrally located which makes it convenient for our clients and staff.
“With a decade of experience in delivering fit out projects in Scotland, we’re excited to continue our journey with a larger office in Glasgow. This is the natural next step for us, and will enable us to even better serve our clients across Scotland.”
This latest deal follows the 5,160 sq ft eighth floor which was let to HRC Recruitment, the 5,865 sq ft 6th floor which was taken by marketing technology specialist Socialicity, and the 4,804 sq ft ninth floor occupied by legal firm Turcan Cornell, among other tenants.
Northwood Regional UK, owner of One80, recently undertook a full refurbishment of six floors within the building and the main reception to create a particularly attractive space to professional services and corporate occupiers. Only the second and fourth floors each extending to circa 5,800 sq ft remain available.
Ken McInnes of Ryden added:
“Comprehensive refurbishment of office space is still vital in Glasgow City Centre, with high quality refurbishments letting well”.
“Companies are also increasingly taking into account their employees’ expectations when they look for premises, making the work experience attractive and engaging, and Northwood Regional UK’ approach with One80 ticks all the boxes.”
Ryden and JLL represented Northwood Regional UK, and Reith Lambert acted for Overbury PLC.
