Real estate investor and manager Cromwell Property Group (Cromwell) has announced the appointment of Matthew Bird as its Head of UK.
Mr Bird has more than 20 years’ commercial real estate experience, most recently as Director and Head of Commercial at Octane Capital. Prior to this, he held senior roles at Legal & General Real Assets and Frogmore, the UK private equity real estate manager.

Cromwell manages more than €7.3 billion of assets globally of which €3.7 billion are located in Europe.
Mr Bird stated, “This is a great moment to join the team as they look to leverage Cromwell’s established European platform of 20 office in 12 countries to increase assets under management across Europe and the UK.”
Actively involved within the industry, Mr Bird is a Board Member of the Investment Property Forum (IPF), and Chair of the IPF Next Generation Group, which has 600 members from more than 100 organisations with a focus on innovation, thematics, research and networking.
Mr Bird graduated with a First Class honours degree and received a Post Graduate Diploma in Surveying from the University of Reading.
