Following the latest letting to Netwrix, Ashville Asset Management are celebrating 100% occupancy at White Building proving a success to their first venture into Southampton.
White Building is now a landmark multi-let office building with far reaching views across Southampton City Centre. Comprising over 50,000 sq ft, the building is home to single desk co-working occupiers through to large corporates all enjoying the business community.
Purchased in 2014, on behalf of clients, the building had suffered from decades of under investment and had high levels of vacancy. Ashville’s ethos was to create an inspiring working environment through design led architecture and an innovative use of the existing building. Ashville wanted to bring this iconic office building back to life and create vibrant office space for the business community of Southampton.
An impressive new reception area was created alongside business and social break out areas. Recognising the benefits of healthy living and greener transport options, secure cycle parking and showers were also installed adding to an impressive list of facilities for the tenants.
Since 2016, White Building has won a number of awards including the South Coast Property Awards both Development of the Year and Working Environment of the year and was Highly Commended at the RICS Awards for the whole of the South East.
Despite now being fully occupied, the landlord remains committed to maintaining the buildings excellent working environment. So far this year tenants have benefited from free fruit throughout the week, Wellbeing breakfast seminars, business networking, street food and a number of tenant social events. There is even a White Building card for tenants who can benefit from discounts agreed with numerous local businesses. More events are also planned later in the year to support this vibrant business community.
Gareth Edwards Director of Asset Management at Ashville said:
‘We are really pleased to have reached this landmark of being fully let which is a testament to all involved. Despite some turbulent market conditions over the last 5 years it has attracted an impressive list of occupiers who enjoy all the building has to offer. Ashville have undertaken a number of similar transformations throughout the UK, each with their own unique character and community. It’s been an extremely active few years for the company who are continuing to actively seek new opportunities.
