Gloucestershire plant and machinery hire company Cotswold Recycling Company will expand and relocate its operation to Avonmouth, bringing its separate head office and yard into one more accessible location.
Established in 2001, Cotswold Recycling’s head office is in Wotton-under-Edge while its equipment yard is in a rural location near Berkeley. The new property will bring both facilities together for the first time and give easier access to the motorway network.
Cotswold Recycling offers a wide range of hire equipment which crushes, screens and recycles building materials into a reusable product, reducing costs in new construction projects. Its machinery is used in quarry work, demolition and stabilisation projects and site clearing.
The company has leased Corporate House, a modern detached industrial unit on Portview Road in Avonmouth, from landlord Bristol & England Properties. The property provides 9,039 sq ft of office and warehouse accommodation, together with a 0.65 acre yard for equipment storage.
Emma Smith of Alder King, who represented the landlord in the transaction, commented: “Being based in a rural location wasn’t ideal when it came to moving some of Cotswold’s heavy plant machinery. Consolidating the two operations and relocating them to the region’s traditional industrial heartland of Avonmouth makes strong business sense. The large yard was also a key factor in its decision to take this particular unit.”
