Nottingham-based CPMG Architects scooped another award for the Cripps Health Centre at the LABC East Midlands Building Excellence Awards 2019 earlier this month.
The University of Nottingham’s Cripps Health Centre scheme was awarded the Best Inclusive Building at the regional awards held on Friday 17 May at Athena, Leicester. This follows on from Cripps securing the Project of the Year award at the Celebrating Construction 2019 Awards earlier this month.
The project’s design team has now been recognised for delivering an exceptional public service and educational building that is inclusive of all fundamental healthcare services, having a positive impact on students and the community.
Nick Gregory, director for CPMG said: “The Cripps Health Centre has allowed us to showcase our healthcare expertise and the creation of an inclusive environment was central to the brief. The facility is responsive to the needs of all users and the design has created an environment where diversity can be acknowledged and respected.”
Nick added: “This award is a testament to the hard work put in by all the team, and we look forward to the project competing for a national award later in the year.”
The project team consisted of Arup, Munro+Whitten, Gleeds, Faithful & Gould and main contractor Interserve. The project was funded by the philanthropic Cripps Foundation.
