Construction is underway to deliver a speculative development of a multi-million pound warehouse in Wiltshire, main contractors MCS Group have announced.
The 78,750 sq ft unit at Trinity Park, Hillmead, Swindon, will bring major investment and new jobs to the region.
There is an option to split the building into two separate units. The site will benefit from a thoughtfully designed and landscaped environment, with HGV access and car parking.
Midlands-based MCS Group has been awarded the £4.45 million construction contract by joint venture partners Trebor Developments and Hillwood. The unit is expected to be ready for occupation in Q4 2019.
MCS Group operations director Steve Cruchley said: “It’s great to be working alongside Trebor Developments and Hillwood on this impressive development. Trinity Park is a speculative development of a new production or distribution space, which would be suitable as a headquarters facility. We’ve started on site now and we expect to reach practical completion towards the end of the year.”
Bob Tattrie, managing director of Trebor Developments, said: “We are delighted to have appointed MCS Group and started on site. This is the second contract we have awarded MCS this month, with both projects completing in early December.“
Situated at Hillmead in north west Swindon, Trinity Park has excellent road connections with junction 16 of the M4 and the A419 dual carriageway both being approximately three miles away. Hillmead is a well-established industrial and distribution location, as well as being popular with several car retail franchises.
MCS Group, based in Claverdon, Warwickshire, is currently constructing warehouse and distribution units at sites across the UK. The company has built and refurbished more than 300 car dealerships including Audi, BMW, McLaren and Jaguar Land Rover since its inception in 2003.
