Yorkshire law firm Gordons has acted on behalf of Carnell Management Services in relation to the purchase of phase two of the major new Nexus industrial development at Capitol Park, Barnsley. Phase two is the last parcel of land to be sold off at the successful 36-acre Capitol Park development, located immediately next to M1 junction 37 and two miles from Barnsley town centre.
Construction work is already well under way on phase one for Carnell Management Services, which is set to be completed in Q3 2019, delivering 15 units varying from 3,000 to 11,800 sq ft. This follows the first tranche of development funding from CBRE Loan Services, on which Gordons also advised.
Sarah Ratcliffe, commercial property partner at Gordons, assisted by Danielle Johnson and Albert Bell advised Carnell Management Services.
Gordons commercial property partner, Sarah Ratcliffe, said: “This is a strategic purchase which will result in further significant development at Capitol Park, bringing additional employment and investment to the area. We were pleased to act on behalf of Carnell Management Services again and look forward to seeing the scheme come to fruition.”
Martyn Carnell from Carnell Management Services said: “We are delighted to see this scheme come to life and are confident of occupier demand.”
