Redditch business property agent John Truslove has sealed one of the biggest property lettings in north Worcestershire in recent years.
Premier Care in Bathing has taken four units, totalling more than 77,000 sq ft, at Padgets Lane, South Moons Moat, Redditch.
Ben Truslove, joint managing director at John Truslove, secured the baths and showers firm as a tenant even before work had been completed on a major £1 million refurbishment of the site by landlords Evenacre.
He said: “‘I am delighted that the ambition and nous demonstrated by Paul Jones and the team at Evenacre has been rewarded with a letting to a strong covenant on a straight ten year term. We are actively searching for the next opportunity of this type.”
Paul Jones, managing director of Evenacre, said: “We are delighted with our new tenant and look forward to a long and prosperous relationship with them. No-one knows the Redditch property market like the John Truslove team, and it was a pleasure to work with them again.”
“The speed with which the unit was snapped up underlines the high demand for quality warehousing and commercial space in and around Redditch,” said Mr Jones.
Premier Care in Bathing is part of the growing Mobility Group, which specialises in the supply of walk-in baths and easy-access showers. It acquired the Cassellie bathroom equipment group last year in a £17.5m million deal as part of its expansion programme.
The firm had local operations based in Hewell Road, Redditch, but the new premises will allow it to consolidate a number of smaller sites into one central office and storage facility, where assembly work will also take place.
John Truslove has also negotiated the sale of the Hewell Road site to local businessman and Redditch Council leader Matt Dormer.
The interlinked deals were co-ordinated by Ben Truslove of John Truslove, with JLL acting as joint agents at Padgets Lane.
