Strengthening its team of financial experts was a positively taxing experience for one firm of chartered accountants.
Harrison Beale & Owen, which has offices in Leamington and Coventry, has appointed Helen Coombes as an associate tax director.
The 34-year-old, who lives in Astwood Bank, Redditch, joins from Birmingham-based Ernst and Young and will provide assistance in all areas of corporation tax planning, compliance and the development of the firm’s tax practice.
She said: “I am delighted to have joined HB&O and I am particularly looking forward to working with clients in the owner managed business arena.
“One of the things that attracted me to HB&O was the chance to work with the individuals who are instrumental in shaping a business, providing them with proactive and practical tax advice throughout each stage of the business cycle.
“I am excited about the opportunity to be part of the HB&O team offering a personal and friendly service to the local business community.”
Helen will primarily be based at the firm’s Leamington office, in Highdown Road, and Andy Farren, tax director at HB&O, said he was delighted she had joined the team.
“What Helen brings to the team is a wealth of experience in the corporate tax sector and we are confident she will help to drive HB&O’s tax division forward,” he said.
“HB&O prides itself on being able to offer the highest quality advice coupled with a personal touch – an approach which is far from commonplace at other practices in the industry.
“Helen will help us maintain and improve the high standards of service our clients have come to expect over the many years we have worked with them.”
