Following a multimillion pound programme of refurbishment and improvements to Stuart House on City Road in Peterborough, CEG, advised jointly by Savills and Barker Storey Matthews, has let office space to Taylor Rose TTKW.
The firm of solicitors has agreed to a new eight-year lease for space totalling 13,931 sq ft (1,294 sq m) across the ground and first floor of the three storey building and will relocate from Northminster House.
This latest deal follows the expansion of Savills, which recently took an additional 3,000 sq ft (278 sq m) on the third floor of Stuart House, bringing the property advisor’s total occupation to 13,000 sq ft (1,207 sq m). The firm will be expanding from approximately 110 people to more than 150 members of staff as it extends its presence in Peterborough.
As part of the extensive investment and refurbishment at Stuart House, CEG has delivered fully-furnished studio offices alongside high quality corporate space and amenities such as a café, gym and cycle spa. At present only 14,762 sq ft (1,371 sq m) of traditional office space remains available to let in Stuart House at a starting quoting rent of £13 per sq ft (£140 per sq m).
The Let Ready studios have also attracted strong interest and only five suites remain available offering cable ready workstations, furnished break-out space, modern kitchens and a meeting room.
Edward Gee, associate director in the business space team at Savills Peterborough, comments: “There is limited supply of Grade A office accommodation in Peterborough and Stuart House continues to attract high calibre occupiers, such as Taylor Rose, who wish to take advantage of the excellent on-site amenity. This is also one of the key reasons why Savills has chosen to commit to further space in the building.”
Jimmy McWilliams, Investment Manager at CEG, said: “Our improvements to Stuart House have provided an inspiring environment for our customers, whether they are a large or small business. Our stylish café hub and gym facilities help to ensure their teams have a high quality place to work, with places to eat, drink, collaborate and workout.”
Annemarie Pye, Operations Manager at Taylor Rose TTKW, adds: “Taylor Rose TTKW are excited to be moving into Stuart House and believe the space compliments our vision of Smart, Modern Law.”
