The Huntingdon office of Barker Storey Matthews has confirmed the letting of a factory unit with offices on the Howard Road Trading Estate, in the Eaton Socon business district of St Neots, to a wholesaler and distributor of fresh produce.
Unit 2 Howard Road sees the new occupier in a refurbished 1,080 sq m (11,625 sq ft) warehouse unit with offices on the ground and first floors and a factory area of 720 sq m (7,749 sq ft).
The unit is in a prominent position on the Howard Road Trading Estate and well located for access to the A1 and A428 and onward road links across Cambridgeshire and the wider region.
While the unit had been available to let for a while, Barker Storey Matthews reports that it had recently attracted strong interest from two competing parties, both well placed in the market, but with the new occupier prevailing due to its convenant strength.
Stephen Power, Director, Barker Storey Matthews, added, “We have active enquiries from a number of operators seeking industrial units in the St Neots or Huntingdon area of a similar size to Unit 2 Howard Road Trading Estate.
“It’s a competitive market – due to the lack of available stock to fulfil these requirements – which is widely acknowleged.”
