Leading fancy dress suppliers RH Smith & Sons have taken 12,891 sq ft of quality office space at the popular Central Park development in Leeds.
The deal at Central Park, which is owned by regional office fund Squarestone Growth, was brokered by the Leeds office of global property consultancy Knight Frank.
RH Smith & Sons, better known as Smiffys, have agreed a 15-year lease at Building 3, taking the majority of ground floor and the whole of the first floor, comprising 12,891 sq ft.
Sam Jamieson of Knight Frank, who represented Squarestone Growth, commented: “This significant deal means that there is just 3,000 sq ft of office space at Central Park.
“Smiffys have made a major commitment to Central Park, which is perfectly located immediately south of Leeds Station and close to the River Aire. It also fronts the main approach road into Leeds from the A1, the M1 and the rest of Yorkshire’s superb motorway network
“This is an area of Leeds which is becoming increasingly popular, given its location close to the station and its competitive rents,” he added.
Sharon Poulter, senior marketing manager at Smiffys, explained: “Our new facility will support our business growth plans, offering us space to expand and the opportunity to attract the brightest talent Leeds has to offer.
“There are several unique areas in our new Leeds base, including a showroom which will showcase the latest ranges, a bistro-style communal eating area and breakout zones for meetings.
“We have signed a long-term lease and intend this to be our home for many years to come. Smiffys offices and showroom in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, remain fully operational as are the international facilities in Amsterdam, two offices in China and premises in Australia and USA.

The Leeds office of Knight Frank are the sole letting agents for Central Park.
