Swansea Bay Business Club will welcome Anne Beynon OBE to its upcoming networking lunch on Friday April 5th at the Village Hotel in Swansea.
The former director of BT Wales will be the afternoon guest speaker and will join club members and their guests for a two-course lunch at the SA1 based hotel to talk about some of her career experiences and the interface between the public and private sectors.
Acting President of Swansea Bay Business Club, Alan Brayley, commented: “Returning to Swansea, after holding our last event in Llanelli, demonstrates our on-going commitment to hosting events across the Swansea Bay City Region and we’re expecting to see another strong crowd of new and old faces join us for the afternoon. We’re all looking forward to welcoming Anne to Swansea and gaining an insight in to the career of another hugely successful businesswoman.”
Ann has held major roles in both the public and private sectors throughout her career and managed BT’s relationship with the Welsh Government and all key opinion formers during her time at the company, as the most senior company representative in Wales.
Currently she holds several roles including being a Non-Executive Director of FUWIS (the Farmers Union of Wales Insurance Services) and Hafren Dyfrdwy, a subsidiary of Severn Trent Water. Ann is also the chair of Clwstwr, an innovative programme that is seeking to transform Cardiff into a screen innovation cluster that sustains and grows media production.
Alan continued: “Anne’s involvement in so many different areas lends itself to the makings of a fascinating talk, one which I’ve no doubt we will all be able to take away some great business ideas from.
“As we enter the spring months of our 70th year celebration we’re hoping to build on a strong start to 2019 and continue to aim for our target of attracting 70 new members throughout the year.”
Tickets to Swansea Bay Business Club’s April lunch with Ann Beynon OBE are available for £25 for members and £32.50 for non-members. This includes a two-course lunch.
Guests are asked to arrive from 12:15 pm for a 1 o clock lunch.
