A Black Country industrial park is fully let for the first time in several years further to two new occupiers taking on the final units.
Junction 2 Industrial Estate in Oldbury is the latest commercial estate to reach full capacity as demand for good quality stock in the region continues to outstrip supply.
The final warehouses on the Demuth Road site have been let to relief organisation Samaritan’s Purse and Hughes Trade.
Neil Slade, Director of agent Harris Lamb, oversaw the letting of Unit 1 on behalf of estate owners Logicor.
“In light of the high levels of interest in industrial estates within the Black Country, Logicor undertook a refurbishment of the vacant buildings, resulting in the remaining units being placed under offer very quickly.
“The estate is very well-appointed, close to Junction 2 of the M5, providing excellent access to the UK motorway network, thereby attracting the latest occupiers who recognised its suitability as a prime location to establish a central hub for local, regional or national operations,” he said.
Unit 1, a 12,000 sqft warehouse, has been taken on by Samaritan’s Purse. The international relief and development organisation works alongside partners to provide physical aid to those in need all over the world through initiatives such as Operation Christmas Child.
The final building at the park, the 8,000 sqft Unit 4, was let to Hughes Trade, the business-to-business division of Hughes Electrical, specialising in the supply of a wide range of electrical products to trade and businesses across the UK.
Neil added: “An increasing number of commercial sites across the region are now reaching full capacity, hiking demand up even further. We’re delighted that, for the first time in a number of years, Junction 2 is fully let for the foreseeable future.
