A 150,000 sq ft distribution facility in Winsford, Cheshire has been sub-let to 3PL, Warehouse One Distribution.
The unit, known as P150, has been let by box manufacturer, Schoeller Allibert, which adjoins the site in Winsford. The unit was surplus to its requirements.
Warehouse One Distribution, a third-party logistics (3PL) operator, will be using the unit to service several new contracts.
Cushman & Wakefield advised Schoeller Allibert.
Sam Royle, Associate in Cushman & Wakefield’s Logistics & Industrial team commented: “Whilst e-commerce is still one of the main drivers in the sector, 2018 saw a boost in demand from 3PL’s with a flurry of deals towards the back end of the year. 3PL’s were the most active occupier group in the North West accounting for 30% of take-up by volume last year.
He continued: “Occupiers continue to revisit their warehousing and fulfilment services trying to drive efficiencies. There has also been notable activity in the sector from occupiers requiring additional storage as part of their contingency plans in anticipation of a possible no deal Brexit. Many are seeking this through 3PL’s to ensure there is no disruption to supplies so it’s not surprising we are seeing increased activity from this sector in the North West.”
Constructed in 2008, P150 is detached purpose-built distribution facility located on Winsford Industrial Estate, an established industrial location set on the boundary of Cheshire West and Chester.
