Cushman & Wakefield has made two senior appointments to its UK Rating team.
Dan Taylor joins as Partner and Head of Birmingham Rating whilst Mike Smith also joins the team as an Associate.
Dan joins from Lambert Smith Hampton where he spent 11 years latterly as Director in the Rating team. He was responsible for advising occupiers and landlords on their rates liabilities, managing key national clients and developing new business. He has experience in advising on properties ranging from shops and offices to schools and health centres.
In his new role, he will be leading the account management of some of Cushman & Wakefield’s key rating clients as well as growing the service line.

Mike Smith joins Cushman & Wakefield from the Valuation Office Agency where he was Lead Valuer and Team Leader. He has 36 years’ experience in valuing retail, office and industrial properties.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Rating team currently manage £1.6 billion of rateable value for clients across the UK. Since 2010, they have dealt with 28,000 properties, generating £300 million of savings for clients.
