Experienced commercial real estate lawyer, Kate Burlinson, has joined BHW Solicitors to further strengthen its Commercial Property department.
Kate joins from Leicester lawyers Knights, having spent 15 years with Spearing Waite before it was taken over by the AIM listed firm at the end of last year.
Based at Grove Park Leicester, BHW Solicitors is the City’s largest independent law firm specialising in advice and guidance for businesses and business owners.
Kate said: “I am thrilled to join BHW and I am extremely excited by this new challenge. BHW has an excellent reputation for its client care and a tremendous strength in depth, which will ultimately be of great benefit to my clients and their businesses.”
Kate qualified as a Solicitor in 2006 having completed her Law Degree at Leicester University. She specialises in secured lending as well as handling all other aspects of commercial property including freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals, and leases and renewals for business premises on behalf of both landlords and tenants.
Partner and Head of Commercial Property, Bev Merrell, said: “Kate brings with her an incredible pedigree and a wealth of knowledge, she is someone we have admired for sometime so I am very happy to welcome her to the team.”
This latest hire comes after Corporate & Commercial Partner, Steve McElhone and Employment Partner, Amanda Badley both recently made the same move across the City to BHW.
Bev added: “We are continuing to grow our whole commercial offering across the business. We have some of the best lawyers around, each of which has specific knowledge and expertise. We are able to provide our clients with access to specialist lawyers capable of providing tailored advice to deal with any aspect of their business.”
