Bruntwood’s success in attracting and keeping customers in Birmingham continues with a further 10,000 sq ft in lettings at Mclaren, which offers occupiers grade A-style space, without the grade A price tag.
Bruntwood’s £7 million redevelopment of 116,000 sq ft of office space includes a new double-height reception, new air-conditioning system and shower facilities.
The leading provider of office space in the UK’s regional cities, Bruntwood welcomed Equita, which has taken 1,367 sq ft and Victim Support, which has secured 1,573 sq ft.
Russell Jones Walker, which has been a Bruntwood customer for over five years, has also taken a new lease and expanded its footprint at Mclaren to 7,111 sq ft.
Paul Sharpe, Sales and Marketing Director of Equita said: “Having worked with Bruntwood before, we knew exactly who to turn to when we required larger office space. As we welcome members of the public to our offices, the central location was ideal, whilst the quality of the fit out was second to none.”
“We were working to short timescales and Bruntwood facilitated the move in lighting speed. We’re delighted with the service that the Bruntwood team provides,” Paul added.
Darren Hackett, Head of Premises and Facilities Management at Russell Jones Walker said: “We knew that we wanted to stay with Bruntwood and within Mclaren. As we expanded we outgrew the space so when the opportunity came up to take a new lease, we redesigned the office to give it a new look in keeping with our other national sites.”
“It’s not often that you are given the chance to work in partnership with the building owner to deliver, design and build a space exactly to requirements. We were thrilled to be able to do so with Bruntwood,” Darren added.
Peter Crowther, Development Director of Bruntwood warmly welcomes both Bruntwood’s new and renewed customers: “At Bruntwood, our purpose is to create places for business success.
“It’s heartwarming that in such a tough market we’re seeing customers renewing, expanding and joining.”
“The strength of our new lettings and our double the national average retention rate indicates that businesses really appreciate our first-rate customer service and great value space,” Peter said.
Carol McKay, Senior Service Delivery Manager with Victim Support said: “With its location close to the city’s criminal justice centre including the Magistrates’ Court, Crown Court and West Midlands Police Headquarters, Mclaren is absolutely ideal for us given that we work closely with these organisations.”
“Consolidating our Ladywood, Erdington and Moseley offices into one central place enables us to offer a more accessible location for both our customers and staff,” Carol added.
As one of the city centre’s tallest buildings, Mclaren provides impressive panoramic views of the city and region. Customers also enjoy the building’s abundant natural light and its dual aspect floors.
Mclaren is situated on the city centre’s Priory Queensway and located near to all three mainline railway stations, the metro, a large number of bus routes, the A38 and the motorway.
With the future High Speed 2 station on its doorstep, occupiers will benefit from being connected at the heart of the country’s transportation hub. The tower also has a secure bicycle store, parking provision and DDA-compliant access.
