St. Modwen, the expert developer and regeneration specialist, has finalised a deal with motorbike transport and vehicle specialists WMB Logistics to establish a warehouse and storage centre at the developer’s completed £22 million Gateway 12 Business Park in Gloucestershire.
WMB Logistics specialises in motorbike transport and secure bike storage solutions for individuals and corporate clients. The company has taken a 34,000 sq ft unit which will serve as a central warehouse and storage location, and joins other businesses onsite including new occupiers of a 43,000 sq ft, Samworth Brothers, trading as Sci-MX.
Paul Lusty, Director at WMB Logistics said: “As part of our growth strategy we are pleased to have secured this new property in a deal with St. Modwen. This doubles our capacity and enables us to completely separate the two different arms of our business following the signing of three new clients into our portfolio. Turbulent times in the economy and the lack of clarity in the type of Brexit agreements that will unfold in the coming months and years has meant that a number of new clients have realised that only we can meet their demands.
“We are particularly impressed with the way St. Modwen operates. In negotiation we had a demanding timeline and a number of requirements that most landlords would have failed to deliver. James Irwin-Singer (St. Modwen) and Adrian Rowley (Alder King) worked hard to make this happen for us and delivered what we asked. Gateway 12 was a great choice for us as a location. With it’s proximity to the M5 and its open, attractive layout we are pleased to become the latest client to join the development”.
James Irwin-Singer, Development Manager for St. Modwen West and Wales, said: “We’re delighted to secure this deal with WMB Logistics and the company’s decision to locate here underlines the strength of Gateway 12 Business Park as a business destination. Close proximity to the M5 motorway makes it the perfect choice for medium-sized logistics and warehousing firms looking to expand or move to the area. It is one of three developments we have underway across Gloucestershire in line with our core purpose of changing places and creating better futures.”
Gateway 12 completed its final development phase in late 2018 and provides a total of 285,000 sq ft of prime location logistics and production space for Gloucestershire with a long term jobs growth potential of over 400. Two new buildings from 24,000 sq ft to 67,000 sq ft are available for immediate occupation at Gateway 12 Business Park.
