Lambert Smith Hampton’s Edinburgh office has appointed Geoff Scott as director of office agency, responsible for delivering growth across the east of Scotland.
Scott joins Lambert Smith Hampton after 14 years at JLL, where he specialised in office agency and tenant representation. Throughout his career he has advised on a number of high-profile acquisitions and disposals across the east of Scotland for clients including Scottish Government, ST Microelectronics, Santander, NCR, Schroders and Mapeley.
Ian Davidson, director and head of office for Lambert Smith Hampton in Edinburgh said: “Geoff joins at a time of sustained growth and brings valuable experience and insights which will bolster our existing agency offering across the East of Scotland and into the central belt.”
Speaking about the local market Geoff Scott said: “The Edinburgh market is acutely short of supply and larger occupiers will need to consider their strategy well in advance of their lease events. Going forward we expect further rental growth and pre-letting activity, with headline rents in excess of £34 due to the lack of supply, rising build costs and steady demand.
“It’s a very interesting and challenging time to be working within the office agency market and I’m pleased to be joining a business and a team with such a strong appetite for growth.”
Scott is RICS qualified and an APC Assessor.
