IM Land, the strategic land arm of IM Properties, has recruited Sinead Meally from Arcadis, to the role of principal planner.
Whilst at Arcadis, Sinead was largely focussed on working for clients relating to the redevelopment of urban brownfield land delivering mixed-use, residential led schemes.
As part of the eight strong IM Land team, Sinead will work alongside recently promoted planning director, Sarah Millward, and technical director, Richard Knight, assisting on the planning and promotion of its portfolio sites.
Richard Knight, technical director IM Land, said Sinead’s experience, working with Birmingham City Council and Homes England would provide a useful contribution to the team.
Richard said: “We are pleased to be able to recruit further planning assistance, to support IM Land’s growing business objectives and achieve the delivery of around 20,000 plots currently secured across the UK.
“Having a highly skilled in-house technical team is a key element in ensuring sites meet the needs of housebuilders. It strengthens the team’s ability to resolve any potential issues at an early stage and masterplan sustainable new schemes and communities, which deliver on all fronts for potential partners and the community.”
IM Land is currently partnering with Bloor Homes and Crest Nicholson at IM Properties’ Blythe Valley Park in Solihull, where it has planning consent for 750 homes and aims to begin delivering a further 750 new homes on a major new community in Lichfield before the end of 2019.
Sinead Meally added: “IM Land has some exciting and challenging schemes to bring forward and I am looking forward to working with the team on these projects.”
IM Land was established in 2016 by IM Properties to identify, acquire and promote land, which through a partnership approach could be developed into sustainable mixed-use communities.
