Scarborough International Properties Limited (SIPL), the UK and International Real Estate Developer and Investor, announces that it has submitted an application to Sheffield City Council for detailed planning consent for Vidrio, an eight storey, 60,000 sq ft office building located on Sheffield Digital Campus (Sheffield DC), in Sheffield city centre.
The development would complete the final phase of Sheffield DC, where enabling and substructure works have already been undertaken. The most recent addition to the scheme was Acero, an 80,600 sq ft Grade A office building which completed in July 2017 and was let to Atkins, Simcyp and Spaces before being sold to APAM in May 2018 for £26.6m.
Following the success of building one, Electric Works, building two, Ventana House and most recently Acero, Vidrio is the fourth building planned for Sheffield DC.
Located in Sheffield city centre, Vidrio is adjacent to Sheffield’s main railway station, which will benefit from the delivery of high speed rail HS2. The office building is the final addition to the Sheffield DC development.
Paul Holcroft, Director of Asset Management at Scarborough, added: “This planning application further demonstrates our commitment to Sheffield and our confidence in the strong market conditions we have seen over recent years. Vidrio is the final piece of the jigsaw for Sheffield DC and will deliver exceptional quality Grade A office accommodation in a striking landmark building”.
