Thursfields Solicitors has moved into bigger offices in Birmingham city centre to accommodate its ongoing expansion with three new lawyers joining the team.
The leading Midlands law firm, which has just been shortlisted in the annual Birmingham Law Society Legal Awards, has moved into larger premises at 2 Snowhill to accommodate its growing team.
The most recent starters are family lawyer Eilidh Rose, Laura Banks, a private client tax and trusts expert, and Katherine Ellis, a contentious probate specialist.
Thursfields now has 20% of its 155-strong workforce based in its Birmingham and Solihull offices.
Stuart Price, one of Thursfields’ directors based at the Birmingham office, said: “We’re really pleased with our bigger offices in this prime location as they give us the ability to continue our growth.
“We’re also thrilled that our expansion has coincided with being named as finalists in the prestigious Birmingham Law Society Legal Awards.
“Last year was all about extending our offering to include private client services to balance our existing commercial services portfolio. In 2019, we plan additional growth in our Commercial Property and Dispute Resolution teams to keep pace with our clients’ needs.
“This year will also see us launching our TMT team (technology, media and telecommunications), bringing together our expertise and service in this fast moving and high growth sector.”
The Birmingham office has been shortlisted in the Law Firm of the Year (Regional) category in the 18th annual Birmingham Law Society Legal Awards, competing against Anthony Collins Solicitors, Enoch Evans, Harrison Clark Rickerbys and Sydney Mitchell.
They will now be interviewed throughout February along with finalists in 12 different categories by a series of panels, led by Her Honour Frances Kirkham CBE.
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at the ICC on March 14, hosted by BBC broadcaster Huw Edwards.
The shortlisting comes after Thursfields won the “Family Law Firm of the Year” award for the Midlands region at the national Family Law Awards in 2018.
