Tungsten Properties, the Leicestershire-based industrial and warehouse development company, has secured planning permission for the development of four high specification logistics units at Tungsten Park, Bardon Road, Coalville in Leicestershire.
Tungsten Park Bardon is an 11.26-acre site that was acquired unconditionally in September 2018 from Aggregate Industries Ltd in an off-market transaction. The site is near to M1, Junction 22 and the established prime logistics location which has occupiers including Amazon, Bunzl, DHL, Laura Ashley, Nestlé, and Volvo. Planning permission has been granted by North West Leicestershire District Council to build four units totalling 187,000 sq ft of logistics space.
The latest development is part of Tungsten Properties’ continued expansion in the mid-box industrial market where it has one million sq ft in its development pipeline in areas where it has identified a lack of supply and increased demand.
Ian Dunckley, development director, Tungsten Properties said: “We are delighted with this significant planning success on what was an unallocated site. The area continues to see an imbalance between the supply and demand for mid-box industrial units. Tungsten Park Bardon is in an established, core distribution location supported by excellent power and labour provision in the heart of the Golden Triangle. We are in discussions with potential occupiers and will look to start development in Summer 2019.”
