Craig Hodgson has joined Savills South West rural team as an Agri-business consultant.
His role at Savills will focus on providing environmental and agri-environment advice which will include rural grant schemes and Single Farm Payment matters. He will also be working with farmers on soil and nutrient management and giving consultancy on the viability and suitability of renewable energy projects.
Prior to joining Savills, Craig worked as part of the Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group for five years, providing agri-environment and land management advice to farmers in the northern part of Devon. His role focused on ELS and HLS applications and also Catchment Sensitive Farming, Soils 4 Profit and English Woodland Grant Schemes.
Additional areas of work included cross compliance regulations, free range poultry management and farm based renewable energy generation assessments.
Craig is FACTS qualified (part of the BASIS professional register), which enables him to provide fertiliser and nutrient management advice.
