Property advisers, Vail Williams LLP, has appointed valuations adviser, Richard Sumner, as an associate to its office in Gatwick.
Richard has over 10 years’ experience working in the property industry and is a fully qualified Chartered Surveyor and Registered Valuer.
Specialising in residential property valuations and with experience of undertaking secured lending valuations for a variety of lenders, he joins the Gatwick office of Vail Williams from Arnold and Baldwin where he was a director.
Richard’s appointment comes at a time of significant growth for Vail Williams which recently announced increases in both turnover (8%) and operating profit (12%) for the year ending May 2018.

In 2018 Vail Williams merged with Solent-based property consultancy, Hughes Ellard and announced the acquisition of New Ballerino in Chertsey in December.

Richard has in-depth knowledge in valuations for a variety of purposes including secured lending, Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax and as an Expert Witness for Court/Tribunal Proceedings.
He joins a team of over 20 valuation experts spread across the firm’s other offices in Birmingham, Heathrow, London, Portsmouth, Southampton, Reading and Woking.
Richard joined Vail Williams in January.
