Five lady accountants from Lichfield and Leicester accountancy practice, Inspired Accountants, have raised £755.00 for St Giles Hospice by taking part in this year’s Lichfield Solstice Walk.
Commenting on their achievement, practice manager Kay Lewis said: “The event was a great success and was well organised. The 9-mile walk took us just over three hours and not even the rain, which came down during our second lap could dampen our spirits.
“We are all really grateful for the sponsorship donated by our clients, friends and associates, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank them all.”
Following Inspired Accountant’s request to sponsor their lady walkers, a business associate, Jude Rothschild of Phoenix Business Solutions, decided to put on her trainers and run the Blackpool Half Marathon in aid of St Giles Hospice.
Jude commented: “I had just entered the Blackpool Half Marathon and I was looking for a charity to represent, when I noticed the ladies from Inspired Accountants were raising sponsorship for St Giles Hospice, which Iknew to be a worthy cause. I am looking forward to the half marathon and I will endeavor to raise as much as I can for St Giles Hospice.”
Paul Bulzacchelli, managing director of Inspired Accountants said: “I am very grateful for Jude’s support and I wish her the best of luck for 2nd September.
“St Giles Hospice is our designated charity, and next we are planning to hold a pub quiz to raise some further, and much needed funds. The event will be a relaxed and enjoyable affair where local businesses will be able to network and make new contactswhilst helping to raise money for St Giles Hospice.”
More information regarding the pub quiz will be released later nextmonth and you can support Jude’s Blackpool Half Marathon run by making a donation at www.justgiving.com/JudeRothschild.
The Solstice Walk took part on the evening of 23rd June, had in excess of 700 walkers take part and is estimated to have raised £70,000 for St Giles Hospice.
