Barker Storey Matthews has announced that the first occupier of one of three retail units on Eagle Way, in the Hampton district of Peterborough, will be independent estate agent, Firmin & Co.
The estate agent has taken a ten year lease on a 125.42 sq m (1,350 sq ft) unit at Eagle Way, Hampton. It will be the estate agent’s third office in the city – the others are at Werrington and Orton Waterville – giving Firmin & Co a presence in the heart of Peterborough’s newest residential settlement.
Confirmation of this new occupier sees joint agents, Barker Storey Matthews and Savills – who are acting for the developer, Eagle Way Investments Ltd – marketing the remaining two units at Eagle Way as available to let or for sale on a long leasehold basis (999 years).
The remaining units are 119.29 sq m (1,284 sq ft) and 119.47 sq m (1,286 sq ft). Both are constructed to shell condition with services connected and capped, ready for occupation. Both are offered with three dedicated, secure car park spaces. Barker Storey Matthews advises that these units are suitable for a variety of A1 or A2 retail or B1 office use.
A brand new Co-op neighbourhood convenience store is currently under construction on the site adjacent to the Eagle Way retail units. Hampton College and Hampton Vale Primary School are within walking distance too.
Firmin & Co is scheduled to open its new office on Eagle Way next month (February) and, referencing his decision to open the agent’s third Peterborough office on Eagle Way, Daniel Firmin, Managing Director, said, “We were serving the Hampton area from our exisiting Werrington office but with more and more vendor instructions here and prospective purchasers looking to buy in Hampton, it made sense to open up a dedicated Hampton office and recruit to staff it.”
Julian Welch, Director, Barker Storey Matthews, added, “Hampton is an expanding township and Eagle Way is close to the Serpentine Green shopping centre which hosts Vivacity Gym, Frankie and Benny’s and Costa Coffee among its many amenities
“The new Co-op store, due to open early this summer (2019), will generate significant, additional pedestrian footfall to the area, to the benefit of all the Eagle Way units.”
