The east coast commercial agency arm of Allied Surveyors Scotland has completed a brace of property transactions in the first two weeks of January, building on a strong end to 2018.
38 Dalry Road in Edinburgh has been let on behalf of Shaf Rasul’s SRA Ventures on a new 10-year lease at £12,750 per annum after less than 4 weeks on the market.
Meanwhile, elsewhere in the city, 64 Corstorphine Road has been let for 10 years to Thistle Trading Group on behalf of a private landlord. A deal was struck in excess of the £15,000 per annum quoting rent.
“Both of these deals demonstrate that there is a plenty of life in the property market despite the ongoing political uncertainty,” said director of commercial agency (east), Iain Mercer.
These latest transactions follow the successful purchase in December of 5 Salisbury Place in Causewayside. Allied Surveyors acquired the property, which is let to Cocco Latte, on behalf of an overseas buyer for £120,000.
In West Lothian, a new tenant was secured for a private landlord at 1 Jarvey Street in Bathgate at a rental of £14,820 per annum.
“The local property market continues to be buoyant with demand from a range of tenants and buyers for business premises and well-let investments,” added Mr Mercer.
