A huge warehouse with smart offices in a prime location in Shropshire has been sold off an asking price of £4.95 million by commercial property consultants Bulleys Bradbury.
The 94,000 sq ft property on the Halesfield Industrial Estate in Telford was put up for sale after clothing manufacturer Fruit of the Loom decided to relocate its operations abroad.
The modern detached building has been sold to Kinton Properties which has already let storage space to its own perfume brands Shaneel and Designer Parfums. Fruit of the Loom is also letting office space on a short-term basis while it winds its UK based administration functions down.
Richard Bradbury, director of Telford-based Bulleys Bradbury, said: “We are delighted to announce the sale of what is known as Unit G on Halesfield 10.
“We knew these premises were going to be of interest to owner occupiers because of the current lack of quality warehouse and office space across the Midlands.
“This scarcity factor, plus the fact that the building is in excellent condition and has well-fitted offices, meant we were quickly able to secure a successful sale.”
The building was built in around 1990 and comes with a large parking area and separate delivery yard on a 3.85-acre site. There is an impressive reception lobby at the front with full height glazing and quality offices on two storeys, including a lift.
The warehouse bays are accessed from the enclosed yard by roller shutter doors and dock levellers and goods out is via two dock levellers to the front.
