MK2 Real Estate, the Birmingham-based niche property consultancy, has started the New Year with a trio of new staff appointments.
The firm has bolstered its building consultancy, property management and lease consultancy teams with the appointment of senior surveyors Harry Gregory, Emma Hinis and Caroline Saxon respectively.
Harry has joined MK2 from Gleeds, while Emma joins from Workman and Caroline from Knight Frank.
James Cuthbert has also joined MK2’s investment team having been promoted from graduate to surveyor.
The new appointments follow MK2’s move to a larger office at 172 Edmund Street in Birmingham’s Colmore Business District to accommodate its future expansion plans. The firm is targeting a £4.5 million turnover and 30 staff in the next five years. It currently has 15 staff with a £1.5 million turnover.
Mark Rooke, director and co-founder of MK2 Real Estate, said: “This is an exciting time for the business. Hot off the back of our office move we have taken on four new staff to provide additional resource for our core services teams and to ensure we continue providing the highest level of service to our clients.
“The new larger office, coupled with the new staff, means we now have a strong foundation on which to expand and grow the business further.”
Last year, MK2 recorded its best year’s trading, with 17 investment deals completed across the UK, with a total value of £95 million. The firm’s property management team also had a strong year and now manages a national property portfolio with a total value of £350 million.
