A leading property consultancy has made a senior appointment in Knutsford to head up its commercial team in the North West.
Rupert Collis has been appointed Head of Commercial North West Region at Fisher German, leading the commercial services at the firm’s Chester, Knutsford and Stafford offices.
He qualified as a chartered surveyor in 1996 with Gerald Eve LLP, in London, where he spent the first nine years of his career before moving to Cheshire in 2002.
He has extensive commercial property experience in the North West region having worked with the Co-operative Group, Lambert Smith Hampton and then with Gerald Eve LLP for a further nine years where he was a partner and head of the Manchester office.
Subsequently, Rupert was the estate manager at Eaton Estate, in Chester, which is part of the Grosvenor Estate and is the principal home of the Duke of Westminster and the Grosvenor family.
He will now use his expertise to develop and expand Fisher German’s commercial team in the North West region.
Rupert said: “Fisher German is a very progressive, forward-thinking firm which has grown significantly but has managed to retain its ethos and focus on core values.
“I have known Fisher German for a number of years and have been impressed with the scale and breadth of the business and what it has to offer, and I am very pleased to now be part of it.
“The firm’s ranking as one of the top UK agencies means that people who may not have known about its strong performance will have now stopped to take notice.
“Fisher German has made a number of key appointments in other regions to support and drive the ambition to grow the commercial sector including the recent appointment of Sam Tarjomani who joined the Knutsford office as a senior associate.
“Having moved to the North West in 2002 I have a good knowledge of the region and a broad range of contacts which I hope to capitalise on, and I am looking forward to the challenges ahead.
“We have an excellent team in the region and I will be working with them to bring in new clients and expand the North West commercial area of the business in a measured and balanced way, and ultimately grow the income of the firm.”
Charles Meynell, senior partner of Fisher German, said: “I am delighted to welcome Rupert into the partnership and look forward to his contribution which is based upon high levels of client service, both as a member of a consultancy and within an in house team.
“As Head of Commercial North West, he brings with him extensive knowledge and experience which will be invaluable in the growth of our regional business and across the commercial sector.”
