One of the world’s leading producers of graphite and carbon products has grown its UK presence by purchasing extra industrial space in the Black Country, helped by Bulleys.
The leading commercial property specialist has arranged the sale of Unit 3 on Roway Lane in Oldbury to Tokai Carbon (Europe) Ltd, a developer and stockiest of graphite material.
The Japanese-owned company already owns a neighbouring property and has now purchased an extra 4,668 sq ft of space on Unit 3 along with a yard of approximately 0.25 acres as part of its planned expansion.
Angela Holland, agency assistant at Bulleys, said: “We are delighted to have assisted Tokai Carbon with its expansion plans and wish the company every success in the future.”
Tokai Carbon (Europe) is part of the Tokai Carbon Group, one of the world’s leading producers of graphite and carbon products.
The company specialises in the production and machining of isotropic, extruded and moulded grades of graphite and reinforced carbon composites used in various industries.
John Diviney, managing director of Tokai Carbon (Europe), confirmed the purchase and said: “This is an investment for new product lines and allows for the expansion of our logistics and manufacturing in the Black Country.”
Mr Diviney said the purchase was mainly for more space, although it was expected that the investment would eventually results in “one or two” new jobs.
Bulleys arranged Tokai Carbon’s purchase of Unit 3 on Roway Lane from previous owner Alliance Scaffolding Ltd for a sum close to the asking price of £350,000.
