The joint owners of The Mall at Cribbs Causeway, intu and M&G Real Estate, have announced that hugely popular Bristol brand Chandos Deli is joining the centre’s thriving food and drink offer.
It will open at Cribbs Causeway at a time when the centre’s food and beverage scene is flourishing, with Boost and The Shake Lab, the juice and milkshake brands, underlining the exceptionally strong performance of The Mall as a location.
Boost has proved to be a firm favourite at The Mall, performing amongst the top three branches within the brand’s 29 UK outlets. The smoothie maker’s popularity with Cribbs Causeway’s loyal customers has led to the chain signing another 10-year lease.
Alongside Boost, The Shake Lab’s seventh UK outlet has gone down a storm with shoppers at The Mall. The first in the country to offer seating, this format is now being considered for future stores, highlighting The Mall as the ideal location for retail experimentation.
Richard O’Sullivan, CEO of Boost & The Shake Lab, said: “We’re very pleased with the performance of our first ‘seated’ Shake Lab and the continued popularity of Boost, which is now in its 10th year at The Mall at Cribbs Causeway. Easy access, parking and continuous improvements for customer experience and choice sees this scheme remain a favourite retail destination for customers and retailers alike.”
Chandos Deli first opened on Chandos Road, one of the city’s premiere foodie destinations, in 1992 and soon became known for its quality of produce and friendly, knowledgeable staff. Further premises in Bristol and Bath have since followed, with the latest branch at The Mall marking Chandos Deli’s seventh location.
Iain Keith-Smith, Managing Director of Chandos Deli, said: “At a time when there seems to be much doom and gloom reported in the retail sector, we are happy to report continued, steady growth.
“As a local Bristol business, we are delighted to be opening at Cribbs Causeway, confident that, by sticking to our principles of offering the most delicious food with the best customer service, we will make a welcome and popular addition to the The Mall.”
Colin Flinn, regional managing director at intu, comments on behalf of the joint owners: “Chandos Deli is a wonderful addition to our offer, bringing a much-loved, local brand to The Mall. We are sure they will follow in the footsteps of Boost and The Shake Lab, becoming the latest success story at The Mall at Cribbs Causeway.”
The Mall at Cribbs Causeway is owned by M&G Real Estate, intu and JT Baylis. Cushman & Wakefield and Time Retail Partners represent the owners of The Mall.
