Nolan Redshaw Chartered Surveyors based in Bury, have negotiated the sale of 1.93 acres of redundant accommodation at Millingford Industrial Estate to Lidl, the discount supermarket chain.
Demolition is due to start immediately, with construction to begin early in the New Year. The store will have a gross internal area of 1,934 sq.m / 20,817 sq.ft.
Paul Nolan of Nolan Redshaw states “despite a lengthy planning process, we achieved the required result in the end and dealing with Lidl has been a good experience”.
“Golborne is a real growth point in the Borough of Wigan and a new supermarket to replace the older Lidl and to compete better with the ageing Asda store will be good for local shoppers”.
