South West private commercial property consultancy, ETP Property Consultants has appointed Alastair Kimpton and Edward Le Masurier as Partners as part of a major overhaul of the business.
Alastair joins the firm, which has offices in Cotham Hill, Bristol and Chepstow, after a five-year stint with Jones Lang LaSalle. Edward has been with ETP since 2010.
Specialising in development consultancy and commercial valuations, Alastair works with lending institutions, developers and land owners to enable finance and bring forward new developments.
Alastair said: “ETP is a well-respected and established name in the South West. The commercial property sector has seen significant change in recent years, with the region becoming increasingly attractive to developers and investors seeking higher returns than can be found in the South East.”
Alastair also advises on the non-PBSA student market which has seen considerable growth over the last few years.
“The market has matured sufficiently, and such is the weight of money in the market, we are now being approached by large institutions seeking to acquire regional portfolios of HMOs.
“There is still plenty of development potential in Bristol and Bath due to the number and success of the universities in the area, and the large numbers of students they are attracting.”
Alastair Kimpton said the scale of development in Bristol showed no signs of abating.
“The fact that Channel 4 has chosen to base a creative hub in the city underlines Bristol’s reputation as a city for the future.”
ETP is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Bristol Property Agents Association.
