The Brewery Quarter complex in central Cheltenham is renowned for its Leisure and Retail offer and is also now a home for business after securing a 28,500 sq ft office letting.
SLG is the latest company to join the impressive list of occupiers on the mixed used estate. The beauty and cosmetics business is currently fitting out the space and have bold and creative plans for how their office accommodation will look.
Miles Dunkley CEO and Chief Creative Officer of SLG said ‘The Brewery Quarter is the perfect back drop for our business to grow and flourish – with its amazing amenities right on our doorstep from gym and bars to cinemas and retailers – the scheme is an attractive proposition for recruiting and retaining talent. The space was also a huge draw, with a usable blank canvas for our creatives to bring to life and create an exciting modern workplace.’
The letting to SLG is one the single largest floorplate lettings in the South West, with more than 28,500 sq ft of office accommodation provided on the first floor.
Phil Martin of The Brewery Quarter was keen to bring diversity to the offer available at The Brewery Quarter and said ‘The Brewery Quarter has always had a strong mix of leisure and F&B, making the scheme predominantly an evening and weekend venue. Since the redevelopment onto the High St the scheme has benefited further, welcoming several big brand names such as Five Guys, Cosy Club, The Botanist and Mr Mulligans – with a new retail arm including Urban Outfitters and LUKE menswear both opening this month.
‘Adding office space adds further diversity to the overall tenant mix and the additional 300 daily office workers will no doubt benefit from all the other facilities available here. This letting really does establish the Brewery Quarter as a regionally dominant mixed-use destination that is bustling from morning through to night, seven days a week.’
Oliver Workman of THP Charted Surveyors who dealt with the letting on behalf of the Landlord said ‘The level of demand in Cheltenham for open plan office accommodation continues to grow and despite expectations that the suite would need to be divided we were delighted to secure a lease to a sole occupier’.
Savills acted as Joint Agents alongside THP and Kurt Wyman Surveyors who acted on behalf of the tenant.
