Goodman has announced the acquisition of a 10.3 acre prime logistics site at Bermuda Park, Nuneaton.
The site will provide up to 230,000 sq ft of high-quality distribution warehouse space. Work is expected to start on the development in the spring of next year, with the warehouse available for occupation from December 2019.
Located north of Coventry and only two miles from Junction 3 of the M6, Bermuda Park is a well-established and popular location for distribution and logistics companies, home to a number of leading retailers, manufacturers and third-party logistics providers (3PL’s). Benefitting from excellent connectivity and fast access to the UK motorway network, 5.5 million consumers are within a 60-minute HGV drivetime.
Speaking about the acquisition Goodman Development Director Nigel Dolan said:
“Bermuda Park offers a prime site for logistics and distribution given its strategic location and excellent transport links. With a shortage of Grade A space of this size available and clear market demand, we anticipate the development will appeal to logistics companies and retailers operating on either a national or regional basis.”
This is the latest development to be delivered through the Goodman UK Partnership (GUKP); the primary investment vehicle for Goodman’s UK logistics assets. GUKP has developed two million sq ft of warehouse and distribution space in high quality locations, with its main focus on the Midlands and the South East.
