SSG Insight, the international leader in smart workplace management solutions, has invested in a new global HQ in the centre of Wakefield.
The software provider, which works with some of the world’s most trusted brands, celebrated the move to central Wakefield with a grand office opening on Thursday 22 November. The firm also has secondary offices in Australia, Canada and Poland. Local dignitaries, including Mary Creagh MP and Wakefield Mayor Cllr Stuart Heptinstall joined SSG Insight partners, customers and employees to discuss how the local tech ecosystem and Northern Powerhouse continues to attract businesses to the area.
The move is further evidence of the Northern Powerhouse being favoured as a hub for digital firms. West Yorkshire is leading the way with world-class digital infrastructure, and firms such as SSG Insight are working closely with northern city leaders to foster a digital environment that supports British companies to better compete globally.
SSG Insight has earned an impressive reputation for delivering world-class data analytics, helping British companies to drive business performance by effectively managing their assets, people and processes.
Ian Dowd, Group Chief Marketing Officer said: “We’re delighted to open our new global headquarters in the heart of Yorkshire. The North is increasingly challenging London by leading UK’s fourth industrial tech revolution. Investment in local infrastructure, faster internet speeds and more advanced transport systems, among other things, have resulted in a surge of businesses moving to northern cities such as Wakefield, Sheffield, Newcastle, Leeds and Manchester. We’re in good company, and we’re confident that our new location provides the best place for our team to thrive as we enter an exciting new phase in our growth journey.”
